The Simple Pleasures of 2009

While I know I've been away for quite some time now, I am ready to welcome in the new year with open arms and a new outlook on life. In the months to come I look forward to sharing all the beautiful weddings I had the pleasure of working on, industry events that I was fortunate enough to attend and new finds I discovered along the way. For now I leave you with the Top 10 things that made me smile in 2009:

1. My Family: Francisco: Thank you for being the most supportive husband anyone could ask for. Lia: Thank you for being the most awesome daughter ever, I wouldn't change you for anything in the world. Alfonso: Thank you for filling my life with memories, love and laughter. Jeff: Thank you for always staying true to what you do best, being my big brother and making fun of me as if I were still 10. Mel: And the award for best sister-in-law in the world goes to...this woman right here because she totally rocks!

2. LOST: Anyone who knows me, knows I am a HUGE fan of LOST, the TV show. I told my husband the other day if the Dharma Initiative really existed, I would join it, seriously I would.

3. My Client's: A lot of my colleagues always tell me that they have the best client's ever, but that's because they haven't met my client's yet, who are the BEST client's anyone could ask for.

4. My Dog: I must admit, I am one of those people who talks to their dogs. Why? Because they're great listeners.

5. My iPod: I carry my iPod EVERYWHERE, why? Because if I want to listen to Journey's "Don't Stop Believing" three times in a row, that's what my iPod is good for.

6. Blogs: While blogs have been around for a few years now, 2009 was the year I really got into blogging and reading blogs. Style Me Pretty, Design Sponge, Green Wedding Shoes, Wedding Chicks, Style Unveiled, 100 Layer Cake, Inspired by This....kudos to you for being among the top blogs that brought a smile to my face throughout the year by showcasing some serious eye candy that made my heart melt and my eyes sparkle with sheer happiness.

7. The Hangover: I can't remember the last time I laughed SO hard at a movie...."and we're the three best friends that anyone could have".

8. Twitter: Best Twitter find was the Jon Stewart "Stewart Saves Print" video, following the sad news of Modern Bride and Elegant Bride closing...hilarious!

9. My Wedding Day Emergency Kit: Double-sided tape is the best invention ever.

10. Family Guy: One word; Stewie! I can't believe some of the stuff this show gets away with, but someones got to entertain me, right?
